This course will provide students with reading and discussion practice at an intermediate level. In class, students will read a variety of short texts, focusing on grammar and vocabulary as well as a number of useful reading strategies. Some exercises will help students succeed on TOEIC & TOEFL tests. Students will also learn how to conduct more complex conversations on the topics of their readings and to give a short presentation. Out of class, students will participate in an extensive reading program designed to foster their enjoyment of reading and raise their reading fluency.
