| 授業概要・Course Description |
This course will focus on the histories and cultures of former colonies of England. Course themes include British exploration, trade, and settlement; the establishment of colonial institutions; and conflict and cultural exchange between colonizers and colonized peoples; independence movements; language, cultural identity, nationalism and globalization.

Course objectives include: knowledge of the varieties and history of English, knowledge of English-speaking countries; note-taking and writing skills; presentation skills.
